Family Friend is building a queer led & centered community for families in Portland. We’re creating much needed spaces for queer parents, caregivers & youth, who are too often an afterthought in both family and queer centered environments. The mission is to build a “village” for caregivers, with endless space to connect with other folks who truly get it.

This type of community can be a lifeline when navigating the identity shift into parenthood, or for parents of queer youth who want their family to feel welcomed and integrated.

Right now, we’re a local queer family network building our community through hosting gatherings & collaborations with community spaces and pop ups, all with our sights set on becoming a real, rooted, neighborhood community space in 2027.
