Being a parent or caregiver can make your life feel like an island. For queer folks caring for kids, connection to others who get it can be a lifeline… but it isn’t always easy to find.

Family Friend is a community organization looking to change that for LGBTQIA2S+ parents, caregivers, and youth in Portland, Oregon. We’re creating a membership-based community space built by & for queer families. A place where chosen family is centered, neighbors and resources are connected, and real community can be forged.

Our focus is on nurturing our community and spreading our net of support far & wide by engaging in community partnerships, community activism, and mutual aid.

Through curating family friendly gatherings and activities, hosting a private online community (off social media), and nesting other resources for our members, we are creating a sustainable foundation to support LGBTQIA2S+ families.
